ATTLEBOROUGH Town welcomed Scole United to the recreation ground hoping to maintain their 100 percent start to the season but were missing some key players.

The game kicked off with Boro on the front foot, taking the game to their opponents and it wasn't long before they took the lead, Shaun Wones netting his third goal of the season.

At this stage Boro were in control of things and it was no surprise to see them go further in front, Wones again finding the back of the Scole net.

With Boro leading 2-0 at half-time it was going to take a brave man to predict anything other than another three points and the chance to keep pace with the leaders.

But the second half was not what the Boro faithful had come to see and once debutant keeper Ingram had conceded a penalty Scole had a way back into the game.

Buoyed by scoring their first goal of the season, Scole came more into the game and with Boro struggling to find any rhythm and conceding possession all too often, Scole sensed that they could get something from the game.

It came as no surprise when the visitors equalised.

Boro made three changes in an attempt to regain the lead, despite going close on several occasions they were unable to clinch the winner.

So first points of the season dropped, but 10 out 12 is not a bad start.

Meanwhile, Attleborough Reserves returned from Mulbarton Wanderers with a 1-1 draw.

Despite an excellent first-half display all Attleborough had to show for their efforts was a rare headed goal from Timmo Jeckell.

Some of their football had been outstanding, coupled with a solid back four, which was very encouraging.

Boro's attacking flair was curtailed somewhat in the second half but they put in some resolute defending.

But Mulbarton's pressure paid off late on and they equalised.

Boro still had a great chance to seal the win but somehow managed to squander the chance.
