Attleborough ABC currently have seven of their trained amateur boxers lined up to take part in Attleborough's ABC's first-ever Open Boxing Tournament which is being held on Saturday December 5 at the Connaught Hall.

Tickets for the event are selling well and a full evening's sport looks to be on the cards with up to 12 bouts planned for the evening.

For many of Attleborough's boxers it will be the first time that they have featured in the competitive ring and they have been currently matched against lads from Strood (Kent), Southend (Essex), Cambridge, King's Lynn and Norwich.

A comprehensive club handbook, which has been very well supported by local businesses, will also be handed out free of charge at the event.

The club continues to grow and now has over 150 members on its books, the gym is open six days a week and everyone is welcome to go along and see the fantastic facilities that are available and receive specific coaching, whether it is at a competitive level or simply to keep fit.

Specific classes are held for ladies, youngsters, juniors, seniors and men.

Such has been the uptake that the club is now planning to expand its floor space by 100 per cent, making it one of the largest boxing gyms in Norfolk and work has now started on this extension which should be up and running for February 1 2010.
