Attleborough 6, Thorpe Village 1
Attleborough continued their good start to the season with a dominant display against Thorpe.
With some inspired forward play from Bevis and Holmes, Boro found themselves 2-0 up at half-time.
Boro were 4-0 up within 15 minutes of the restart.
The visitors did pull a goal back, a penalty, but caused Boro very few problems.
Two further goals in the last five minutes, was no more than Boro deserved in a game they dominated from start to finish. Scorers were Roy Bevis 2, Chris Holmes 2, Charlton Halliday 1, Mihail Propustin 1.
Saturday sees the first round of the Junior Cup and Boro are at home to Thetford Rovers, kick-off 2.30pm.
Meanwhile, Attleborough Reserves visited their North Walsham counterparts and lost 6-2.
Boro found themselves 3-0 down in the first twenty minutes, when they found it difficult to defend the route-one style of play from the hosts.
When Boro did find their way into goal scoring chances, they either found the home keeper in good form, or the shooting was wayward. Boro did try to get into the game but it was a bad day at the office. The game was marred by a bad ankle injury to Jose Fixe, the club wish him a speedy recovery.
Boro's goalscoreres were Nathan Lake and Matty Venables. Another trip for Boro on Saturday, to Buxton, kick-off 2.30pm.
