WYMONDHAM Short Mat Bowls Club have clinched the Breckland League title for the second successive season with two 10-0 home victories against Hingham Green then Harling Recreation.
Connaught A had put a little pressure on them as they won there last two matches of the season both 10-0 as well but it was in vain.
The Breckland five pairs final saw the top two in the league fight it out as Connaught A came away victorious against Wymondham by 38 shots to 29 as M Parsons and O Allen saw them home with a 13-5 win. Wymondham though will be pleased to have made it through to the County Cup final as they beat Coltishall at home 6-2 (54-37) with M George, M Barker and B Saunders leading the way for the home side with a resounding 23-6 win, which sees them face the formidable Bob Carter Centre.
Club best wishes go to Mikey George for the national U18s event in Bedford on Sunday.
