The Artsmark Silver Award from the Arts Council honours schools that champion the arts as part of a balanced curriculum and inspires children, helping them to build skills, resilience, confidence and character.

Browick Road Primary School, in Wymondham, was supported by the Norfolk and Norwich Festival when developing its plan, which was designed to ensure engaging arts and cultural studies were offered for all age groups.

As an Artsmark school, Browick Road Primary will have access to networks and resources provided by the country's leading arts organisations.

Mrs McMullan, headteacher, said: 'We are extremely proud of achieving our Artsmark Silver Award. We are committed to delivering high quality art and cultural education and we look forward to our continuing growth with Artsmark.'
