Archant

Students and staff at Wymondham College have been trained to use a defibrillator after the life-saving equipment was installed at the school.

The course taught the essentials of how to use the defibrillator in an emergency, helped by paramedic
Martin Hosier and duty operations manager for the ambulance service Dave Money.

The equipment was installed with support from the Community Heartbeat Trust, which says the chance of survival following a sudden cardiac arrest with defibrillation increases to 50pc in comparison to a survival rate of just 5pc with CPR.
