Wymondham air cadets enjoy new climbing equipment

Air cadets in Wymondham have been given the opportunity to practice their climbing skills thanks to money from the Norfolk Community Foundation.

A Grassroots Grant of 2,932 has enabled the 1986 (Wymondham) Air Cadets to purchase new climbing equipment and allow staff at the squadron to train as climbing instructors.

It means they will now be able to train regularly using the climbing wall at Wymondham leisure centre.

The grant was obtained thanks to the work of the squadron's civilian committee who manage and raise funds for cadet activities.

Anyone interested in helping raise funds for the squadron can call 01953 601210 or come along to one of the parade nights, which take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Drill Hall, in Pople Street, between 7pm and 9.30pm.
