Volunteers from Wymondham Satellite and Rotary Club spent two days carrying out maintenance work at Star Throwers, Melton Road, Wymondham - getting very wet in the process.
The work undertaken included clearing a large flower bed at the entrance to the centre, painting a shed and power-washing the decking.
The volunteers from Wymondham Satellite and Rotary Club were told they made a real, positive difference and were thanked for giving up their time despite the wet weather on Saturday.
Steven Ho, manager at Star Throwers, said: 'It cannot be overestimated how important the 'feel' of the building and gardens is to the patients well-being whilst they're at the centre'.
Star Throwers is a charity that specialises in offering holistic support for people suffering from cancer.
