Year 4 class teacher Sarah Knights said it was thanks to the “tremendous support” received that the school had raised more than £10,000 to fund the project.
“It will not only provide a 'living classroom' for the pupils but also encourage links with the wider community, particularly Robert Kett Court,” she said.
Many parents gave up time on Saturdays to help develop the site over the past few months. Support was also received from the town and district councils, HSBC
Bank, Broadland Housing Association, Waitrose, the school's parents teachers association, and Bartrums Funeral Directors.
