Teen issues meeting for parents

Drugs, alcohol, bullying and teenage health are issues covered by a parents' advice evening planned for Wymondham High School next month.

The will be hosting the April 8 event with the help of a variety of different organisations who will be there to offer information and advice.

Drugs, alcohol, bullying and teenage health are issues covered by a parents' advice evening planned for Wymondham High School next month.

The will be hosting the April 8 event with the help of a variety of different organisations who will be there to offer information and advice. It will run from 10am to 3pm in the school's main reception area which is at the Folly Road entrance.

There will also be information on offer about dyslexia, student finance and education or training opportunities for anyone over the age of 16.

On a wider level, small business and personal finance advice will be available from Foundation East, Business Link East and the Norfolk Credit Union. Saffron Housing and the Citizens Advice Bureau will be present to offer information and it will be possible to talk to a local county, district or town councillor.

The Safer Neighbourhood Agencies will also be present to hear concerns and offer help. These include the Wymondham Community Police Team, Norfolk Fire Brigade, Norfolk Trading Standards, the South Norfolk Council Safer Neighbourhood Team and Norfolk Homewatch,

The event has mainly been arranged for the benefit of parents already meeting their child's form tutor, but other parents and the public are also welcome to attend.
