A large crowd of parents, staff and residents waved and cheered on Friday evening as the Year 11s from Attleborough High School alighted from their vehicles and sashayed down the red carpet for an evening of Hollywood glamour.
Inside the school the students, most dressed in bright frocks and formal suits, were treated to a buffet meal, fruit cocktails and a disco.
Awards were also handed out, which included the accolade for best arrival handed to Taila Taylor and David Hurley, who rode through the school's gates in a military tank, donated by the East England Military Museum in Snetterton.
'Lots of people go in old cars but I thought I would have a tank. It's different,' said Taila.
Other prizes included Prom King and Queen which went to Head Boy and Head Girl George Albani and Katie Webb.
Headteacher Neil McShane said it was an opportunity for the students to let their hair down after weeks of exams.
'They took great pride in their choice of outfit and they made an incredible effort to arrive in extravagant and unusual vehicles,' he said.
'The support we received from the huge crowd of parents and friends who came to celebrate the students' arrivals was remarkable and increases each year.'
