THE Wymondham Regal Experience had a surprise in store for Sir Donald Sinden when he appeared in his one-man show at Norwich Playhouse on Friday.

Unbeknown to Sir Donald, the group had arranged for Muriel Pavlow, who appeared in four films with him in the 1950s, to attend the show and catch him unawares after the performance. It was a joyous reunion for the veteran actors, who starred together in Doctor in the House in 1954, Tiger in the Smoke (1956), Eye Witness (1956) and Doctor at Large (1957).

Ms Pavlow stayed overnight in Wymondham, at the home on Michael Armstrong, the group's chairman. While there, she also enjoyed a screening of Murder She Said in Mr Armstrong's mini Regal cinema. Starring in the Agatha Christie movie alongside Margaret Rutherford, who played Miss Marple, Ms Pavlow had not seen the film since its premiere in 1961.
