Ray Barrow's mighty Chevy Camaro proved too potent for the fleet of Norfolk-built Lotus Elans/Europas at Snetterton who were outgunned in the Swinging Sixties event, but filled the next four slots after the winner.

In the Group 1 race David Franks' Mini stormed through from grid 12 to take a late victory, helped when early leader Tim Cairns' Frogeye Sprite retired.

Feltwell's Peter Challis was unable to challenge the two leading BMW M3s with his Arrowpak Porsche as the leading pair finished nose to tail in the New Millennium event, while Fressingfield's Carl Chambers claimed the final podium place in the Tin Tops race as Russell Hird won at a canter.

A late surge took David Holroyd past the similar Lotus Elan of James Barclay/Nick Atkins to secure victory in the Classic K race with the Dereham paring of Michael and Will Goff third in class and fifth overall.

The Patersons, Elliott and Russell, dominated the Morgan races with the former taking a pair of easy victories while Tony Lees, from Great Yarmouth, beat Andrew Bentley to third in the second encounter in a reversal of the earlier result.

A stop/go penalty, for excessive speed in the pit lane halted William Plant's charge after Future Classics race leader Alec Livesley, who coasted to a comfortable victory.

The Lotus Esprit S3 of Nicholas Olson dominated the Modern Classic race, with Norwich pair Jim Utting/Richard Drake third in their category as Jonathan Mitchell controlled the Open Series event with his Caterham CRS leading throughout.

While Colin Philpott led the opening Jaguar race from start to finish. James Ramm fought through the lower order to take the final podium place. In race two Philpott had to make a mid-race pass on Ramm to secure a second victory.

The Magnificent Seven race went to Danny Winstanley.

At 14, Shipdham's James Hillery is probable the youngest Norfolk racer and demonstrated his speed and race craft in the opening Fiesta Junior races recently held at Snetterton. James started the opening event from grid 13 to race home in eighth while in race two he managed seventh.
