Probe after birds die in blaze

An investigation was launched after thousands of birds died in a blaze at a duck rearing barn near Attleborough yesterday.Fire crews from Wymondham, Watton, Hingham, Attleborough, and a water carrier from Hethersett, were called to the poultry farm in Stalland Common, Great Ellingham, at about 3.
An investigation was launched after thousands of birds died in a blaze at a duck rearing barn near Attleborough yesterday.
Fire crews from Wymondham, Watton, Hingham, Attleborough, and a water carrier from Hethersett, were called to the poultry farm in Stalland Common, Great Ellingham, at about 3.15am.
Around 3,500 ducks were reported to have died in the fire in the 70x20m building. Firefighters spent about 90minutes tackling the blaze.
