Carols around the Christmas tree will be on the agenda at a south Norfolk carnival next month.

The Attleborough Christmas light switch on will take place on Sunday, December 7.

More than 60 craft stalls and fun fair rides will be taking place, while Father Christmas will be paying a visit in his grotto.

Firefighters from the Attleborough station will also be taking part in a sponsored engine pull to raise funds for eight-year-old Sophie Warnes, who needs an electric wheelchair.

The lights will be switched on at 4.15pm, with those living in the town invited to join Reverend Matthew Jackson for carols around the Christmas tree.

Local businesses including Donna Kissinger Estate Agents, Rose of India, Holbrook Leisure, Nuts and bolts have contributed to the event.
