Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in East Harling.

The incident happened in Gallants Lane, at around 2.50pm yesterday (Wednesday, April 17) when the victim returned home to find two men at the back of the property.

The men made excuses for their presence before leaving the area, after which the victim discovered a rear window to the property had been smashed and someone had carried out an untidy search of the property stealing cash and jewellery.

Following the burglary detectives are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.

Witnesses should contact Detective Constable Alex Gilmour at Thetford CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
