New Buckenham gardeners open their gardens for the day

Budding horticulturists in a south Norfolk village are throwing open the gates to their to their normally private gardens and inviting members of the public to have a looks around.
On Sunday June 10, more than 20 gardeners in New Buckenham, near Wymondham will open their gardens to members of the public. The normally private green spaces of varying size and design will be open from 1pm - 5pm.
Event organiser Karen Hobley said: “People like coming to see the gardens in New Buckenham because they are in walking distance of each other. There’s a wide variety of gardening styles, with lovely gardens large and small. Come early because there’s lots to see.”
Entry to the gardens is £4 per adult and includes a map of the gardens, visitors are invited to start at the village hall, in Moat Lane where free parking and refreshments and will be available.
All proceeds from the day will go towards the village show later in the year.
