Reggae, roots, dub, ska and rocksteady will all feature at an upcoming day of music being planned to support a Norwich soup kitchen.

The event, called Community Dub Club, is to take place at the Morley Village and Sports Hall on April 22 from 4pm.

Performers will include nine-piece band Rebelation, north Norfolk heavy roots and dub band Shipyard Rockers and sound system entertainer Free King.

Mark Sewell, one of the organisers, said: “Our aim is to provide an event where the music love can be enjoyed by all ages at the same time as raising money for local charities.” There will also be Caribean food, pizza and other specialities available.

Half of all profits will to the Norwich Soup Movement charity, which supports homeless and disadvantaged people in the city.

The event is open to all ages, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
