THE Mercury saw its youngest ever editor at work today.
Jake Wiseman, who is nine and a pupil at Attleborough Junior School, got his chance to work at the newspaper's headquarters in Norwich for a day after his mum Bev managed to successfully bid for the prize at the Attleborough Infant School Christmas auction event.
Throughout the day, Jake got the chance to create headlines for the paper's website stories, have his photo taken, watch as the final touches were put to the pages and even write this report!
“Today has been great fun, and I've learned a lot too. I met lots of nice people who helped me through my day and I found out just how much work goes into putting a paper together,” he said.
