FIGHT For Wymondham, a campaign group formed in the wake of plans to build 3,000 new homes in the town, is asking for local residents' help with a leafleting weekend.

The group, which is dedicated to safeguarding Wymondham's heritage and future, has 8,000 leaflets to distribute and has decided Saturday and Sunday offers a big chance to raise awareness about the homes proposal, which they claim would increase Wymondhamhousing by 50pc.

“We've had such a fantastic response to our launch last Thursday”, said spokesman Julie de Rohan, “and support is growing on a daily basis. Our goal now is to ensure that everybody is aware of the proposed development

and its implications. It's crucial that every Wymondham resident understands how they would be affected.”
