Expansion plans for two schools
More than �1m is being invested into new facilities at two south Norfolk schools.Plans have been submitted by Norfolk County Council's children's services to extend Ashleigh County Infant School, in Wymondham, to create a new children's centre and to build a pre-school in the grounds of Hingham County Primary School.

Plans have been submitted by Norfolk County Council's children's services to extend Ashleigh County Infant School, in Wymondham, to create a new children's centre and to build a pre-school in the grounds of Hingham County Primary School.
The children's centre, expected to cost �736,000, would provide advice and support for young families on topics such as healthcare and adult education.
It would be constructed onto the east side of the school, consisting of training, consultation and multi-use rooms, as well as toilets and a kitchenette.

The build would also include a new entrance and reception for the school, in Sheffield Road, as well as 17 additional car parking spaces.
In Hingham, a �400,000 new pre-school with an external play area is proposed at the rear of the primary school, in Hardingham Street. It would consist of a play room, staff room, kitchenette and toilets.

The school's car park is also planned to be extended by five additional spaces, and improvement's to its current driveway will be made to widen the entrance and increase its visibility.
