Police issue warning after car break-ins

Police have urged car owners to be vigilant after a number of items were stolen from vehicles in Norfolk.

Officers are investigating thefts in the East Harling area and will be increasing patrols where vehicles have been targeted.

Motorists are being reminded to keep their vehicles locked, not leave valuables in sight and to choose a parking spot in a well-lit area or in a garage.

Officers said that it can take less than 30 seconds for a thief to steal something from a car.

Police would like to talk to residents in the area and urge them to report anything suspicious to them by calling 101 or if a crime is taking place 999.
