A town council is preparing to throw a Royal wedding street party complete with a live screening of the ceremony and old time sing along.

On Saturday, May 19, Queens Square in Attleborough, will play host to a Royal wedding street party featuring entertainment for royalists young and old.

From 11am there will be a marquee selling teas, cakes and scones. Those wishing to watch the ceremony live from Windsor will be able to do so in the town hall from midday, whilst outside there will be children’s face painting, and an old time sing along from 1pm.

Ahead of the party councillor Taila Taylor said the event was just the first in a series of community events the council would be holding over the summer months: “I’m excited, I think its going to be a good show. All of the shops and even some of the residents have put on wonderful displays,” she said.
