The aurora borealis could be seen across the county last night as clear skies and an intense solar storm set the perfect conditions for seeing the dancing lights.

Skies across Norfolk were turned shades of pink and green as the UK experienced the first Extreme Geomagnetic Storm since 2003.

Weatherman Chris Page said that although it would not be as strong, there are still a number of geomagnetic storms persisting so the aurora borealis could be visible again tonight, cloud permitting.
