A Norfolk cyclist is riding from London to Paris to raise money and awareness for children with eye cancer.
Julian Bunting, who attended Mulbarton Middle School, is hoping to raise 1,300 for the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust as a good friend of his was diagnosed with retinoblastoma when she was just 6 months old.
The condition is a fast growing cancer which only affects children under five, and doctors had to remove her eye to save her life.
However, with early detection, it is possible that the one child a week diagnosed with the condition can be saved, along with their eyes.
The charity has been set up to help families affected by the condition, who often have to see children undergo prolonged and sometimes painful treatment.
The 300 mile London to Paris ride will take place from May 12 to 16 and will finish on the Champs Elysees.
