A derelict village school that has been unused for 20 years is hoping to attract former pupils for a reunion on September 20.
Villagers in Pulham St Mary have been working to transform Pennoyer's School from an eyesore into a centre for the community providing and business facilities - in addition to replacing the current village hall. And it will be a last chance to see the school 'as it was', as the project received a grant for £934,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund in March this year, and restoration work starts at the end of 2008.
The school will be open to former pupils and the general public on Saturday September 20, from 10.30am to 5pm.
Anyone with photographs or memorabilia they would like to share are invited either to contact Alex on 01379 608625 to make arrangements for collection, or to bring them on the day.
