The father of a teenager who was stabbed to death has appeared in court accused of threatening two people with a knife.
Raymond Quigley, 60, faces two charges related to an incident three days after his son’s killers were found guilty of murder.
He pleaded not guilty at Norwich Magistrates’ Court to having used a knife to threaten a man and a woman at his address at Tipperary Avenue in Wymondham on January 29.
Rima Begum, prosecuting, said if proved the offences carried a starting point of 15 months in prison.
Deputy District Judge Jacqui Appleton declined jurisdiction saying the seriousness meant they fell outside magistrates’ sentencing powers.
Quigley will appear at Norwich Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on May 10.
His son Raymond James Quigley, known as James, of Wymondham, was fatally stabbed in front of Ipswich town centre shoppers in January 2023.
Two teenagers were found guilty on January 29 this year of his murder in what the trial heard was a gang-related "retribution" killing.
Alfie Hammett and Joshua Howell, both 19, were sentenced to minimum terms of 24 and 20 years respectively.
