Fire crews from Carrow, Attleborough, Wymondham and Thetford attended the crash at 6.47am to make safe the scene and were stood down at 7.42am.

Motorists heading northbound were advised to follow this unsigned diversion route:

  • At the A134/B1107 roundabout, take the third exit onto the A134.
  • Continue on the A134 to the signalised junction with London Road.
  • At the signals, turn left into London Road and continue through Thetford to the A1066/A1075 roundabout.
  • Take the second exit to rejoin the A11.

Several villages around the road were experiencing heavy congestion after queueing traffic was rerouted from the accident site.

Delays have now cleared.
