The organisers of a popular military show are gearing up for their next event – with a new focus set to see it double in size.
The newly renamed Military and Vintage Revival – formerly the Military Revival – at Old Buckenham Airfield will return on October 3 and 4 next year.
Matt Wilkins, organiser and airfield manager, said that the new focus on all things vintage and the addition of a new area will double the show’s size.
The section – which will be called the Liberators Vintage Lifestyle Event – is the result of co-operation between the airfield and Cherry Betty, which Mr Wilkins described as a “leading name in the Norfolk and Suffolk vintage community”.
It will play home to marquees filled with tabletop stalls, a vintage fashion show and a lively musical line-up.
A 1940s barber shop, vintage cinema and classic car displays will also be on hand, with the popular 1940s hangar dance set to return on Saturday night.
Mr Wilkins said: “We have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback from military enthusiasts over the first two Military Revivals.
“It became clear that we needed to add to the show in order to appeal to a wider audience, and a vintage event is the obvious choice.
“The co-operation with Cherry Betty will ensure that the show truly offers something for everyone in 2015 and we’re looking forward to revealing more exciting developments in the coming months.”
Living history displays and vehicle demonstrations will remain a core part of the show, with a new arena expanding the military display.
Advanced tickets for the show will go on sale in March.
Booking for participants is now open at the new website here.
