Wymondham too good for Norwich Medics in Norfolk Cup

Wymondham made comfortable progress in the Norfolk Junior Cup when they cruised past Norwich Medics 60-0.

Playing a side one step lower down the league pyramid, Wymondham were always in control, with tries coming at regular intervals, the majority from line breaks.

James Swinbourne crossed twice while Shaun Rix, Josh Wright, Conor Airdrie, Josh Cousins and Andy Mackay were also among the try scorers.

It was an excellent day for the club, with the seconds beating their Thetford counterparts 79-0.

Thetford’s first team made it through to the third round of the RFU Senior Vase courtesy of a 41-22 victory at West Norfolk.

Southwold also progressed with a second successive walk-over, this time against Wisbech. Both teams will resume their bid for a day-out at Twickenham on Sarturday, January 20,
