There were only two matches played in Division One of the Central and South Norfolk League sponsored by Barnes Print at the weekend.

That was because of the first round of the Norfolk Junior Cup and the fact that the fixture between Hethersett Athletic OB and Watton Utd Reserves was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Of the matches played, Attleborough Town A won 6-0 at North Elmham and moved up to second place as a result.

In the other match, Rockland United beat Hethersett Athletic 4-2 to move up to third and leave Hethersett in bottom place.

Yaxham are the new leaders in Division Two after their 7-2 home win over Bridgham United which gives them a better goal difference than Bar 33 who were held to a 2-2 draw by Norwich Medics. Briston won 6-0 at Brandon Town Reserves to retain their 100pc start and move up to third. Hockering also maintained their 100pc record with an 8-4 home win over Tacolneston Reserves to move up to fourth just ahead of Dereham Taverners Reserves who drew 1-1 with UEA A.

Castle Acre Swifts Reserves picked up their first points of the season with a 3-2 win at Dussindale Rovers Reserves.

Top place in Division Three East also changed with Bowthorpe Rovers moving to the top of the table after an only goal of the match win at Briston Reserves. Home Care United picked up their first points with a 4-2 home win over Hockering Reserves and Longham Reserves got their season underway with an odd goal of seven win at Taverham.

Gressenhall are the new leaders in Division 3 West. They maintained their 100pc record with a 5-0 win at Narborough Reserves. AFC Weeting slipped to second after being held to a 4-4 home draw by Yaxham Reserves.

Hingham Athletic Reserves notched up the highest score of the day with a resounding 15-1 thrashing of bottom team Necton Resserves.

In the first round of the Ben Smith Memorial Cup, Redgrave Rangers won by the odd goal of five at Bar 33 Reserves, Cockers ran out 4-1 winners at Colkirk and Tugas Utd netted seven without reply against Wensum Albion.

It was not a good day for teams from the league in the first round of the Norfolk Junior Cup with only Morley Village making progress courtesy of a 3-2 win at South Walsham.
