Two women are in custody after a man was injured in a suspected stabbing.

Several police cars were called to a house in Allwood Avenue, Scarning, on the outskirts of Dereham, at about 8pm on Sunday and a cordon was put in place.

Two women were arrested and a man was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment, although his injuries were not thought to be serious.

Police would not confirm the nature of the incident but it is believed it was a stabbing.
