Irish pop-rockers The Script are the first act to be announced for a series of forest concerts which will see them appear at Thetford Forest.

The trio found success in 2008 with singles including The Man Who Can’t Be Moved and Breakeven from their eponymous debut album.

Their fourth album, No Sound Without Silence, hit the top of the charts on its release in September this year and follows on from previous success with #3 and Science and Faith.

They will appear at Thetford Forest on July 2, 2015, as part of the Forest Live 2015 performances, an annual summer music series organised by the Forestry Commission.

It will see bands perform across unique woodland locations across England.

Frontman Danny O’Donoghue said: “We love performing live and our biennial gig in the woods is becoming a bit of a touring tradition, so we are really looking forward to playing Thetford Forest again in 2015.”

Money made from ticket sales will be spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodland.

Tickets cost £37.50 - plus £3.75 booking fee - and go on sale at 9am on Friday, November 28 from the Forestry Commission box office on 03000 680400.
