A Norwich man has denied making more than 5,500 unwanted calls to a woman.

Stephen Blake, 20, appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on Tuesday (October 10) having been charged with harassment without violence.

The court heard that between April 1 and August 22 this year at Wymondham he “pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of the victim in that he attended her address on three occasions, sent numerous unwanted messages and made 5,520 unwanted calls”.

Blake, of Beecheno Road, pleaded not guilty to the offence and will stand trial on December 7.

He was granted conditional bail.
