Nine Norfolk care homes to support search and rescue charity this year

Nine care homes have announced they will be raising money towards a search and rescue charity this year.

The homes, which are all based in Norfolk, are to host a series of events in support of Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue (NORLSAR).

The voluntary organisation helps emergency services find missing people and is on-call 24 hours-a-day. Staff at each of the homes, which are part of the Healthcare Homes Group, will organise events and activities for their residents throughout the year.

The homes include:

• Bilney Hall in Dereham.

• Claremont in Caister-on-Sea.

• Overbury House in Wroxham.

• The Gables in Great Yarmouth.

• The Manor House in North Walsham.

Operations director, Debbie Christian said: “The work of NORLSAR is so important in providing specialist help to our emergency services when people are in danger.”
