Preserving a pair of the region’s natural treasures will be the focus of an illustrated talk hosted by the Wymondham Nature Group.
George Baldock, who was appointed manager of the Cley and Salthouse nature reserves last year, will speak about the two internationally recognised sites, their wildlife, and the challenges of managing the habitats to cope with saltwater flooding and the process of recovery from storm surges.
Norfolk Wildlife Trust acquired the Cley Marshes in 1926 to safeguard the wildlife and habitat of 435 acres of north Norfolk coastal marshland, which had long been noted for its bird life.
It marked the start of the wildlife trust movement.
The talk will take place on Thursday, October 12 at 7.30pm at the Town Green Centre, Wymondham, and the cost is £2.
