A miniature Shetland pony from Norfolk is set to make a television appearance on ITV this weekend.

The 18-year-old miniature pony, who has made a name for himself across the county, will feature on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh show on Sunday.

The show, which explores the best of the British countryside, will showcase the rescue pony turned local celebrity Jack Brock who is an official dementia ambassador renowned for his charity work across East Anglia.

The beloved family pet makes frequent trips to care homes to provide comfort and support to residents alongside his owner Ali Stearn.

Ms Stearn said: "Jack and I went down to Hampshire to film with Alan and the TV crew also came to Norfolk to film our day-to-day life which included a visit to Sutherlands Care home in Wymondham.

"The staff at Sutherlands are super excited as they all tune in to watch the show."

Sharing a stable with his brother Joe on a family farm in Wymondham,  Jack regularly pops next door to visit Ms Stearn and her two young children.

A local artist, Ms Stearn is currently writing and illustrating a new book about Jack's colourful life to be published in the autumn.
