A Norfolk beauty and aesthetics salon owner has been shortlisted for a leading UK award.

Stacey Ward, 26, who runs Accentuate Aesthetics in Elm Farm Business Park, Wymondham, was "lost for words" to be nominated for the "best new talent" category in next year's UK Hair and Beauty Awards.

The UEA alumni worked at a hospital accident and emergency room for two years before launching her own business just seven months ago.

The UK Hair and Beauty Awards aims to celebrate standout individuals and businesses in the hair and beauty industry with an annual invite-only red carpet event.

Organisers claim its mission is to support businesses of all sizes and expose nominees to new opportunities via social media and industry professionals, even if they don't win.

Stacey will go head-to-head with Norwich-based Lucy Healy, of Lash with Lucy, who was also nominated for "best new talent".
