Youth orchestra season under way

Wymondham Youth Orchestra's 21st season is well under way. Under the direction of its conductor, Margery Baker, it encourages players from Grade 3 upwards. The orchestra has an ever-growing repertoire from Bach to Blues. It meets on a Thursday evening at Wymondham High School.

The orchestra is preparing for its Christmas Concert which will be held at St Remigius Church in Hethersett on December 5 starting at 7pm. As well as music with a Christmas theme, the orchestra will feature a movement from Beethoven's Violin Concerto which will be performed by the orchestra's leader, Ben Pant. It will be joined on this occasion by WYMS brass and saxophone ensembles and by the recorder ensemble from Hethersett Old Hall School.

Tickets (£5 for adults - children free) will be available on the door.
